  • Hiking - If you like to walk along lakes and in the forest, Naha River trail system offers a 10 mile roundtrip of moderate hiking on boardwalks and rustic trails.
  • Kayaking - Calm seawaters are like lakes during the summer season, making kayaking more enjoyable.
  • Photography - Spectacular scenery abounds.
  • Bird Watching - Many land and shore birds call Naha Bay and Behm Canal home.
  • Wildlife - Self Guided Only Black Bear observation on the Naha River(August when the fish are returning), Margaret Creek in Traitors Cove is another popular Day destination for Fully Guided bear tours, Located about 9 miles NE of Naha Bay. Visitors from Ketchikan Cruise ships are rediscovering this once quiet local.
  • Artists - Bring your supplies, you're sure to find a subject.
  • History Buffs - Learn about Lorings historical past and native culture.
  • Salmon Charter fishing - The only sustainable fisheries in Alaska is our Coho, Chum and King salmon. Available through local independant charter businesses.
  • Boating - Many inland waterways for you to explore. Miles and miles of shoreline for sightseeing.
  • Fish Hatchery- Visit a working fish hatchery in Neets Bay Alaska, only 15 miles as the Raven flies from Loring Alaska, Naha Bay! Popular for tourists flying in from cruise ships in the summer months. We recommend visiting in the fall when the crowds are gone.
